It has been an extraordinary year in football with the Pandemic having a huge effect on our club activities, but when the beautiful game resumes, Westport United will be ready to hit the ground running and with the safe return of football in mind, Westport United would welcome volunteers to help with the underage coaching structure and also to take on the exciting opportunity to manage our Junior B team to help develop our players for first team junior football.

All new coaches are welcome and in a world where it is mandatory to have Garda Vetting and FAI Child Safeguarding to be involved in a football club, the club will be delighted to help out to get you on an FAI Child Safeguarding workshop, get you Garda vetted and to get you enrolled in the FAI Coach Education programmes, starting with PDP One.

The club operates a Club Underage Charter, which protects our coaches.

All training sessions are conducted in a safe, fun and enjoyable environment.
